SCIENCE AT NEW PASTURE LANE SCHOOL

Science is by nature a very practical activity where pupils learn through first-hand experience. At New Pasture Lane, the science curriculum is taught in a variety of ways through class, group, or individual work. Pupils are encouraged to be independent wherever possible, defining the task, planning their own work (probably in groups or with a partner) and then reviewing and discussing progress and findings with the teacher and class.

At New Pasture Lane School, the Science curriculum is taught in blocks during each school term.  This allows the children to learn new concepts and to consolidate this learning through a variety of practical investigations and research.
