A stimulating and challenging curriculum
The staff at New Pasture Lane Primary School are dedicated to provide a stimulating and challenging curriculum, which is specifically designed to allow experienced based creative learning, that has impact on the learning needs of the children in this school. We are very conscious of the need to equip pupils with high aspirations, in order to prepare them for the next stage of their education, with an emphasis in the development of knowledge and skills. Throughout the curriculum, all staff are fully committed to value and support each individual, providing a high quality of pastoral care, nurturing self-esteem and mutual respect, whilst working closely in partnership with parents.
More information about each individual subject, how it is taught and celebrated in school can be found on the curriculum tab,
Writing weeks happen termly and are one of our schools many non- negotiable expectations.
They’re designed to ensure that every child has a new experience, whether building a shelter or visiting Eden Camp, the whole school learns together.
The week always begins with an introductory assembly and ends with a sharing event. The knowledge and skills can be drawn from any of the curriculum areas and are used to develop writing from a wide range of different genres.
